Hahaha 6 months is way off, it depends solely on the environment in which the body is exposed to. Certain conditions can speed up the decaying process, while others can delay it. Certain temperatures, obviously, can have adverse effects. Simple elevation can do it. A human body can actually liquefy within one week if left to certain elements.

How do I know this? Took an extensive class on death and dying in college.
