Get matching tattoos? I think it is considering the tattoo. They both got Blue bees which I think is kind of like a butterfly or a bird you know typically a tat that a female would get. Here is the tattoos so you can decide for yourself.

That is a little gay. My friend and I got matching balls of yarn tattoos. They have knitting needles and a crochet hook. Mine has a banner that said "Yarn Life". Hers has a banner that says "Knit Life". I went with yarn life because, despite the fact I did put knitting needles in tatt, I do not knit but they are pretty fucking awesome.

The matter of them matching isn't gay, the tattoos themselves are what I would question (like mentioned in the og post). I don't know if I would call it a gay design, but its def not a good one, IMO.
