What is the longest you stayed awake and why

I stayed up 37 hours because i worked had my daughters birthday , taught my sis to drive, went shopping, took my sis to college, went to a party and then stayed up playing videos games but the longest I have ever stayed up is 53 hours in 1997 trying to talk a girl online out of committing suicide.

i played WoW for 37 hours straight once to see if i could beat the record of some chinese dude who died while playing it for 36 hours
