I saw it last night. Have to say...with all the hype and build up surrounding this flick...I was a bit disappointed.I'm sorry and I know I'm probably speaking in the minority here but..the story just was not that great. Thought it was boring, honestly. The effects were awesome:Pandora, the mechs the Navi'. They were all really cool to look at and easily the best part of watching the flick. The 3D did not make me think that ''I will never look at movies the same again''. I was looking forward to seeing this one since 2009 started and I started reading about anything related to Avatar. Maybe I let the hype take a hold of me a bit and I ran with it all year so that when I finally watched it for the first time..it just let me down. My son loved it and he says I should give it another chance and just watch it without any high expectations. Maybe I will.I also thought the movie dragged on a bit. With the exception of Sam Worthington's character and the Navi', the characters in the story just did nothing for me. They were all just bit parts...especially Michelle Rodriegez character. I did not see enough of the Navi' characters to get me to care. I was too enthralled with how the movie looked that I did not see any substance to the characters. I will buy the blu-ray version for the visuals alone. I am sure the audio will kick ass.Maybe I will appreciate the movie more when I see it at home. Just expected more and was not ''wowed'' like I thought I was going to be.

yeah the movie was awesome
