three men died within 20 minutes of each other near the end of a detroit marathon

All three deaths occurred between 9 and 9:20 a.m. ET, Second Deputy Chief John Roach said.
A man in his 60s fell and hit his head, Roach said. The cause of the fall was unknown. The man was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
and also in weird news, today some woman got beaten almost to death with a hammer at the house next to my parents, which is scary because even though the guy had a very specific relationship and reason for beating her up, that's still pretty violent. the cops arrest people there all the time, they mention it on the news. and wtf @ the bitch that found the victim called the landlord first, then the cops. here's that story if anybody cares

Detective Marcus Kennedy says, "It appears as if the victim's boyfriend beat her over the head with a hammer several times." Investigators say McCurdy beat Williams and then took off - leaving her inside the home.
It was about two hours before she was discovered. Another female in the home found Williams and called the homeowner for help.
Police say they have been called to the Bosart house numerous times to break up fights. Officers were there not too long ago to serve an arrest warrant on McCurdy on theft charges.
