British singer Lily Allen has turned her back on the music industry because of frustration with laws that she says are too soft on piracy.
The 'former' singer wrote on her blog that she remains "a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade...The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation."
Lily, who's released two successful albums, has chosen not to renew her contract with EMI and says she has no plans for future tours or concerts.
So what's next for the controversial muso? She recently guest starred in Neighbours and she's expressed an interest in acting⦠Let's hope she doesn't have similar gripes with DVD pirates
