I'm living in inner harbor and everything's been incredible with the exception of easily getting between fells point and fed hill. Re: Went out to lunch today - CrAzYT - 09-24-2009 It was probably because I worked from 7am - 2am daily, with a 10 minute lunch break. That and the public transportation is untimely/not safe (buses) ... just the general unease of the city itself. It wasn't uncommon for my friends to be mugged on their way home from the lab, or for random people to run through their backyard, and in one case one person opening fire on another. I didn't mind the Homewood area - it was ok. I lived right next to One World Cafe, which was pretty cool, plus Hopkins Deli pizza was delicious. I don't know how to explain it, but I just hated Baltimore and most people in my class did, too. They only stayed so they could get that PhD paper ... Usually I was there until 8 or 9 pm, then I was at the Homewood campus until 1 or 2 am - doing homework or using their computers for some sort of programming I had to do. So glad I'm not there anymore ... teaching high school is so much better.
