i used to have one of those. cops used to have them around here, they hurt. are they illegal there or something?

Not Illegal to have...just ship to another country.There is restrictions on shipping any kind of weapon to another country for whatever reason.
I got a friend who has one for snakes.A couple good hits and the snake is pretty much dead.
