Ugh... FUCKING remakes. Here's what they're gonna do, ya ready?
Film it in high definition with limited color palette filter.
Get actors that were in recent movies (some unknowns for victims, big star for villain).
Make it TOO fucking long.
Give Freddy TOO MUCH backstory.
Turn the dream sequences into CGI mindfucks with audio level changes and in-your-face flashes.
For the main girl, cast someone FAR less likable than Heather Langenkamp.
Voila, you have your year2000+ horror remake.

Since the original Godzilla in 1953, there have been over 30 movies. It never "came back," because it never left. The just stopped translating them and bringing them states side.
