*watching air show* - Grimlin - 07-16-2009 word, they are flying over our park right now. Cats are going ape shit over the noise. Re: *watching air show* - sTr - 07-16-2009 oh hell yeah, ! miss that shit, the air shows were always bad ass out there.... Re: *watching air show* - Grimlin - 07-16-2009 Indeed,I need to head over to my fishing places....They are right next to the park i go to.Last year i just grabbed a lawn chair out of my car and just sat watching that when fishing was slow. I can't see any of the close range older ones, but the fighter jets fly all over the place. Re: *watching air show* - sTr - 07-16-2009 ! would imagine the fishing wouldn't be so great when jets were buzzing around all over the place... Re: *watching air show* - Grimlin - 07-16-2009 Doesn't seem to bother them too much. They are going to deeper water.Plus with our 85+ temp weather one day and 70 temp the next is kinda throwing them off the pattern this year. The noise might spook them a little, but they will still bite. They still gotta eat. Re: *watching air show* - Alyzzia - 07-16-2009 What time is it over? Is it still going on tomorrow? I'd like to go... Yeah, its all messed up here too. Im thinking of jumping state lines and fishing in other states. (wabash in indiana) Everything is over fished or snag hell holes. Those blue jets were the ones flying over here...they were about 100 feet up right over us. Best place to be is off I-94 between rawsonville rd and belleville rd. Most people just sit off the side by the service rd watching the show from there.Pretty much free from that point. Thanks for the info Grim, I might be down there this weekend Re: *watching air show* - Grimlin - 07-16-2009 Just a head up,they are expecting rain.Bring rain coats or towels... My UAW picnic was on that date and it got canceled to next Sunday now. I don't know if the air show will be affected, but i assume not? Re: *watching air show* - XIII - 07-16-2009 Grim, you live in Detroit, right? We're doing a story about this glorified slumlord in Detroit. You gotta see this prick. Do you recognize the neighborhoods? http://money.cnn.com/video/news/2009/07 ... .cnnmoney/ Re: *watching air show* - Grimlin - 07-17-2009 I'm not in Detroit, but we are close(20-30 minutes away).Everything that goes on in Detroit we pretty much hear about. That story is messed up though. |
