I have all kinds of anti spyware, adware, virusware... etc etc loaded on my computer, and run that shit on the weekly.. but my computer still ends up lagging and shit. What gives and how to fix it?

I don't want to format, I have LOTS of music on shit on my hard drive. I'll check the specs tomorrow. It's not a new age computer, but it's not ancient either.

Buy an external hard drive and move it all on there. I have a 500 gig hard drive on my computer, and 200 for external

Prolly all those av and anti spyware programs you got running that are making you lag.
They use your system resources to scan while you work.
You could also try a defrag on your drive.

My bf's the one who runs the programs once a week. He does a defrag about once every two months or so. I think I just need a new computer. O=)

at least computers are pretty cheap now a days... you won't get the best, but it should be much better then the one you have now....

Well, with this one I can get online and it's not the slowest thing ever. I have a lot of things on here, too.. and it hasn't *knocks on wood* crashed ever. I can manage with this one for a while longer.

the computer im using sucks. i cant download anything on it. id say get an external drive then just keep your programs that are running to a minimal. sounds like your virtual memory is low.

buy a new computer... like ! said earlier they are pretty damn cheap now a days... or even better, make your bf get you that shit....
