Going back to school - Grimlin - 06-23-2009
Looks like i might.....I gotta get some kind of experience trade,otherwise i'm never going to find a job.
Thinking about applying for CNC training.Get some experience in and start in around $16 and work my way up.
Gonna suck though....going to school,going to work(once i find one) and finding time to spend with the family. I'm not sure i have the will power to do it.

Yup...already got the brochure for it from Michigan works yesterday.They also gave me 2 other places where i can get financial aid.Since I'm out of work and have a kid will make my case better.

I'm still in school, and this semester will be even harder, because I'll be taking way more hours, and I have a job, and I'm worried about not seeing Fred and my family as much as I'd like. I keep myself going though, because I know that once I have my degree, I'll be able to give my family the kind of life i want for them.

I'm going to be a neurologist. Even if they largely scale back the salary made, I'll still be able to provide a modest living for my family.

You don't get shit for the FAFSA unless:
1. You are married.
2. You are pregnant.
3. You have FULL CUSTODY of the child as the MOTHER (fathers don't get shit).
4. Your parents aren't legal citizens of this country.
5. You're black, mexican, or hispanic.
6. You're over the age of 24.
So... I'm not eligible for shit for at least another year. Which is why I am taking a year off.
I am going back to school to get a BS in Biology or Zoology... or pre-vet.............
Then eventually when I can get $60k a year loans, I will be going to vet school, hopefully at Tufts or U-Penn. Being a vet tech is nice, but I really got the degree in this to see if I liked the field enough to go to vet school. Now that I know, I want to take some time off, get my life in order, and THEN worry about money for college.
