ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Whatever had been bottling up the Los Angeles Angels offence finally got dislodged during one remarkable inning. Kole Calhoun homered and had an RBI single during a seven-run sixth, and the Angels struggling offence rebounded for a 7-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night. David Freese had a two-run double during the lengthy rally, which propelled Los Angeles to just its second win in seven games. Calhoun bookended the rally with two of his three hits for the Angels, who had scored just nine runs in the previous 61 innings for a club that led the majors in scoring at the All-Star break. "Its nice to bust out like that, and it hopefully gets us rolling," said Calhoun, who has four straight multihit games. "This is a talented offence up and down. Its going to turn around." Calhoun sneaked his first homer since July 20 inside the right-field pole leading off the sixth, and Howie Kendrick drove home Albert Pujols with a tying single off Antonio Bastardo (5-6). Marlon Byrd then badly overran pinch-hitter Collin Cowgills fly down the line, allowing it to bounce behind him for a ground-rule double. "I think the wall came into play there," Philadelphia manager Ryne Sandberg said. "He had to go so far and it was sneaking up on him. Its right up there in the corner, not much room. It was a tough spot for him." Chris Iannetta and Calhoun capped the rally with two-out RBI singles. The Angels made it comfortable for C.J. Wilson (9-8), who pitched into the seventh inning of his first victory since June 24, yielding seven hits and two walks. He was winless in his last five starts, with an injury absence in the middle. "Its still not there," Wilson said. "I was just trying to control the rhythm of the game and not overthrow it." Jerome Williams pitched five-hit ball into the sixth inning of his Phillies debut, but the former Angels right-handers bullpen couldnt hold back his old teammates. Williams was resilient in his first start for his seventh major league team. Philadelphia picked him up off waivers Sunday from Texas. He spent the past three seasons with the Angels, revitalizing his major league career. "I dont think that its like an audition or anything like that," Williams said. "All Im thinking about is going out there and performing, and whatever the team wants me to do, Ill do." Byrd and Ryan Howard drove in early runs for the last-place Phillies, who dropped to 4-9 in interleague play after allowing their worst single inning of the season. The Angels (69-49) bounced back from a week of mostly miserable hitting. After reaching the All-Star break as the majors top-scoring team, they had managed nearly two fewer runs per game since the break, undermining their chances of catching Oakland atop the AL West. RARE TRIP The Phillies visited Anaheim for the first time since 2003, and theyre likely grateful they dont make it to the Big A regularly. Philadelphia has lost eight straight to the Angels over the last 12 seasons, getting outscored 37-14 by a team known as the Anaheim Angels back when the streak started. The skid is the Phillies longest against any opponent. TROUT CAUGHT Not everything went well in the sixth for the Angels. Mike Trout struck out twice, extending his 4-for-25 homestand struggles. He has high-priced company, too: Josh Hamilton is in a 2-for-23 slump on this homestand, while Pujols is 5 for 26. TRAINERS ROOM: Angels: Reliever Mike Morin threw a bullpen session. He could return from the disabled list Saturday. UP NEXT: Phillies: A.J. Burnett (6-12, 4.29) starts the series finale. Angels: Jered Weaver (12-7, 3.68) pitches two days after his daughters birth. The team reported the signing on its website Thursday, but said Friday the deal was off in "a mutual parting of the ways that had to do with the language of the contract. Cheap Air Max 97 Blue . The Philadelphia left fielder clubbed a tiebreaking, solo home run in the seventh inning, and the Phillies edged the Red Sox, 2-1, in the middle test of a three-game interleague series at Citizens Bank Park. Cheap Air Max 97 Green . It was the most lopsided loss in Lakers history. Darren Collison had a team-high 24 points while starting at shooting guard for the injured Jamal Crawford. Chris Paul added 13 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, who apparently are trying to make up for decades of humiliation at the hands of the Lakers all in one season; theyve won the last two meetings by a combined 84 points.Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the visiting Baltimore Ravens overcame a sluggish start to post a 28-13 victory over the Miami Dolphins in a crucial AFC matchup. Flacco was 25-of-33 for 269 yards and Justin Forsett added a rushing touchdown for the Ravens (8-5), who kept pace in the AFC North race. They are tied with Pittsburgh behind division-leading Cincinnati, which stands at 8-4-1. Ryan Tannehill finished 23-of-33 for 227 yards and a touchdown for a Miami (7-6) team that entered the game owning the AFCs second wild-card spot due to tiebreakers. Miami was at the Baltimore 4-yard line early in the fourth quarter, but wound up going backwards. Lamar Miller was tackled for a 2-yard loss on a carry and Tannehill was sacked following a false start penalty. Caleb Sturgis kicked a 34-yard field goal to draw the Dolphins within 14-13. However, the Ravens extended their lead when Forsett ran for a 2-yard touchdown after a Flacco fumble was overturned on a review. A 44-yard carry by Forsett on the next Baltimore drive helped set up Flaccos game-sealing touchdown on a keeper. The Dolphins got an early jump on the Ravens, scoring on their first two drives. Sturgis kicked a 46-yard field goal and Tannehill hit Brian Hartline on a quick slant for a 3-yard touchdown with 1:41 remaining in the first quarter. Baltimore was lifeless on offense, opening the game with three consecutive three-and-outs. When the ooffense finally started to click, the Ravens drive was stunted by Flaccos first interception since Nov.dddddddddddd 2. R.J. Stanford picked off Flacco in the end zone one play after wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. dropped what would have been a touchdown pass. Baltimore tightened up on defense following Miamis hot start and forced a second straight punt. The Ravens were pinned at their own 3-yard line late in the first half, but Flacco orchestrated a 12-play drive that he capped by throwing a 1-yard touchdown pass to Smith. Flacco rolled to his right and fired to Smith in the flat with two seconds remaining. The Ravens made a gutsy call on their opening possession of the third quarter. Flacco picked up two yards on a quarterback sneak to convert a 4th-and-1 from his own 34. He later completed a 14-yard pass on 3rd-and-11 to Marlon Brown, who hurdled a defender before going down at the Miami 13. Baltimore went up 14-10 when Flacco hit Kamar Aiken in the back of the end zone on the next play. Game Notes Elvis Dumervil registered 3 1/2 sacks and established a new Ravens single- season sack record with 16. He broke the record of 15 set by Peter Boulware in 2001 ... Baltimore tight end Owen Daniels caught a pass in a 100th straight game ... Miami safety Louis Delmas was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with a right knee injury ... Forsett had 71 yards on 13 carries ... Smith caught seven passes for 70 yards.
