Ten Already Arrested at the Gathering of the Juggalos (And I - BiggGameJames - 08-07-2012
The Gathering of the Juggalos, a post-apocalyptic five-day wicked-clown festival we may have told you about once or 379 times, begins tomorrow in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois. Tomorrow, as in not today. Yet this has not stopped Insane Clown Posse fans from traversing the far ends of the Juggalo universe to find family love more than a day early. Right now, there is currently a very long line of cars backed up along the local road that leads to festival grounds HogRock Campground, full of overzealous clowns waiting for the gates to open.
This is one gridlocked view of the scene, posted around one pm CST:
They started jamming traffic up a little after six this morning," Hardin County Sheriff Joyce Cullison told us this afternoon. The Illinois State Police, who're providing back-up for the local force for the second year, responded accordingly, patrolling the Cave-In-Rock route, giving out tickets, and making arrests.
"We've had 10 or 15 in four or five hours," says Cullison. Six involved drug charges ("Not a large amount either"), one for unpaid child support. The rest were apprehended for lacking auto insurance, vehicle registration, or driving with a revoked license. No weapons have been found, Cullison notes, "so far."
"We got one upstairs who might be extradited," says the Sheriff, referring to the alleged deadbeat dad. Everyone else bonded out. "It's been a long day. Imagine what tomorrow's going to be when it opens."

Can't they technically arrest everyone based on suspicion due to the FBI putting them on a gang watch list?

Detain and search, yes. Can't make an arrest just off gang affiliation without probable cause.

If you go to these events, and cops see decals on your shit or anything psy related they can pull you for that affiliation.. but word@ they can only detain you for a short time, most juggalos do things really sketchy so im not suprised they are out there getting caught.
Another reason why Cave in Rock was 10x better.

I agree... these people that are being busted ARE low lives. However, my question is this...
WHY are they being arrested? What did they do to gain a police officer's attention if most of them were sitting in cars? Unless they were doing stupid shit, I'm sure the police aren't background checking everyone... right?

that's not even what I mean though, im talking about when these folks in Illinois, or even the people in Ohio when they knew what was coming, the cops were pulling any car with a hatchetman sticker on them around the area before they got to the grounds. Luckily I dont think Hyzterik had any stickers on his car if that was even his car at all when we went riding around that 1 day during the event.
If they know that shit is coming these days they prepare and harrass the fuck out of people, not that I blame them, most juggalos deserved to be harrassed.
