How to deal with pets after a break up - sTr - 08-05-2012
So since my fiancée left my dog has been super sad. She just sleeps on the couch waiting for her to come home. She hasn't ate more than one bit in the last few days, not even the cat food, and that's saying a lot. Anyone have any ideas?

any way to "split custody" at all?
My dog was bummed for a long time when my ex moved out last year... I just tried to spend time with her, play with her more, get her favorite treats, take her to visit her doggie and people friends, that kind of stuff.
The ol girl got very sick this year and I had to put her to sleep. Fucking sucks.
She was sick for two months, and being a vet tech, i tried everything I could, but had to make the compassionate decision to end her suffering a couple months ago.
My ex saw me at a grocery store and screamed that I was the cunt that killed his dog. Said dog he made no attempt to see in the years time.
Oh well.
Sorry about derailing your thread with my own bullshit.
Get her some Pupperoni, and more walkies, tell her she's awesome all the time :)

A couple friends from high school were together for nearly 6 years and had two dogs together. after they split the dogs stayed w her and were sad, eating less, and always looking for him to come home. She was really concerned. In the end she gave them more attention and time and they're just fine.
