what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 religion.. id start but id like to hear some of your opinions first.. Re: what's your view on.. - R31GN - 08-01-2012 Don't pay any attention to it. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 religion is for suckas Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 Good for morality and positive thinking. But anyone that gets anything negative out of it, or uses it for personal gain is a fucking cunt. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 you dont need religion for morality and positive thinking Re: what's your view on.. - BiggGameJames - 08-01-2012 believe in god not religion Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 fred Wrote:you dont need religion for morality and positive thinkingIt helps some people. Re: what's your view on.. - fghtffyrdmns - 08-01-2012 Personally, not into it. I respect other peoples beliefs but I've had shitty experiences with religion/my grandmother trying to cram it down my throat. Like seriously, she lives in NYC, and whenever I (used to) visit, instead of taking me to touristy places, or showing me around, she took me to church. For hours and hours. I couldn't even understand it because it was a spanish speaking church. She'd make me go up and get blessed. Traumatizing for a 6 year old me to have all of these random ass spanish speaking people touching/praying over me, honestly. Soured me for life. I live by my own moral standards. If you can't be a good person without a religion telling you to do so, that is your choice, but I don't need it. Seriously. Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 with me.. its weird.. i believe in "god" or a "higher being" or whatever but i believe the bible is complete bullshit. its been translated in so many languages theres probably a MILLION mistakes in it, (supposedly man makes mistakes, and god dosnt, so if i met "god" and he handed me HIS version of the bible that would be different) therefore you cant believe anything thats in it.. also there's missing books so even if you were getting the translation right, the story its incomplete.. i also think that even if you read the bible and used it as a guide for living, theres so many contradictions in it how can you choose what's right for what situation. i.e. "turn the other cheek" and "an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth." Organized religion is all about money and always has been. who sells the bibles? churches sell bibles, and so do big chain stores like books a million.. its all about money. the vatican is probably the richest private institution on the planet. so in my opinion if you think about it, how could you actually know if theres a god or not. but to me i think that all this earth and sky above us HAD to be created by something. it didnt just appear out of nowhere.. i dont know what or who or what even to call it other than the default word which is "god".. thats just some of my opinion. im not an athiest, im i guess what you'd call an agnostic because i cannot believe in something i havent sampled with my own physical eyes. its kinda one of those ill wait and see type things. some christians say thats the pussy way out.. im just a person that can only believe what he sees. Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 Do you not believe in ultraviolet rays? Re: what's your view on.. - fghtffyrdmns - 08-01-2012 It didn't appear out of nowhere....it developed over billions of years. Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 they have been scientifically proven, so yes. god has not.. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 and yet you just said you believed in god. im not religious, but im pretty sure the "better safe than sorry" shit wont be acceptable as a valid excuse to get into heaven Re: what's your view on.. - COUSIN IT - 08-01-2012 i dont beleive in religion i beleive in culture Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 You know there's trillions of bacteria that live in our bodies that probably don't believe we exist. I see God as a figure like that. Like, we could be inside a giant organism that's way more intelligent and advanced than we are. Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 i said i believed in a higher power. i believe "something" had to create all this but i dont accept all the bullshit that goes with religion.. its all about money. you go to church and see.. they want 10% of what you make.. why? you made it not them.. Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 They don't demand it.... They accept donations. You can attend mass every day for the rest of your life for absolutely free. Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 not in the churches i grew up in... Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 the only good thing about church is the entertainment value of black preachers Re: what's your view on.. - fghtffyrdmns - 08-01-2012 evulninja Wrote:fghtffyrdmns Wrote:It didn't appear out of nowhere....it developed over billions of years.so youre saying that it was just there.. then grew and grew.. nothing created it? they say the big bang theory created the universe.. who made the elements to create that "big bang"? That's why its a theory, it's not proven. But I mean, mountains aren't just miracles* or anything. It's two tectonic plates pushing together and the force makes the ground rise. Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 ....... uhm... you got ripped off by con people. I dunno, I've attended Catholic mass my entire life, I've never put a red cent in. When I was young, I wasn't well-off. My dad just shook his head and said we have nothing to give. No question asked. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 you only believe in this shit becuase your parents told you this shit when you were a kid, just like santa clause..... only the 4th graders never bothered to tell you jesus wasnt real when they told you santa dosent exist Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 fred Wrote:you only believe in this shit becuase your parents told you this shit when you were a kid, just like santa clause..... only the 4th graders never bothered to tell you jesus wasnt real when they told you santa dosent exist Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 fghtffyrdmns Wrote:evulninja Wrote:fghtffyrdmns Wrote:It didn't appear out of nowhere....it developed over billions of years.so youre saying that it was just there.. then grew and grew.. nothing created it? they say the big bang theory created the universe.. who made the elements to create that "big bang"? who made the plates? they didnt just appear out of nowhere is what im saying. i cant just say.. hmm.. i think ill just make a sandwich appear out of thin air.. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 the plates were formed by the cooling of the earth.. go read some shit nigger Re: what's your view on.. - evulninja - 08-01-2012 technically and scientifically yes.. but can you explain to me how all this shit got here in the first place? oh it was just here.. thats a load of shit. Re: what's your view on.. - LuckyNumbrXIII - 08-01-2012 This debate usually goes nowhere. lol... this is no different. Re: what's your view on.. - John the Juggalo - 08-01-2012 St. Thomas Aquinas suggested that nothing can be without being created. Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 so your saying..... a giant invisible person just made it all? how did he know how to make carbon? or oxygen? or combine them? Re: what's your view on.. - holagatita - 08-01-2012 The thing is, it's okay to say 'i don't know' Science isn't as arrogant as Religion. Science says "Hey, here's a theory, let's test it, well that makes sense. Oh, something else makes more sense? Cool" Religion says "THIS SHIT IS TRUE AND GOD TOLD ME AND ONLY ME AND GOD ALSO CARES ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF MY LOCAL SPORTS TEAM" Re: what's your view on.. - juggalogigolo - 08-01-2012 i cant ask him, he dosent exist... |
