The couple's daughter told the Los Angeles Times the shooting a month before their 70th anniversary was "a mercy killing" by a husband who had long fed and bathed his wife as she suffered from dementia and decline. Would you really want to live your life sickly and not knowing who or what anything is? That's awful, and I don't think he should be charged very harshly. My grandmother passed last January and my entire family had spent the last 2 months just praying that something would have mercy on her. I'm sure my dad or uncles felt this way from time to time. |
