I'm a little confused as to what is true.
Looks like the majority in this board get the snip.
During school i knew of like 1 kid who had it done and that was for some medical reason he claimed.

I believe here they get circumcise,Unless the doctor is told not to.

People you are talking to are wrong, most Americans are "snipped".The older people however here might not be.I could be wrong though.
actually, it's technically a medical procedure, so unless the parents sign off on it, the doctor isn't allowed to do the circumcision. a parent that didn't authorize it can sue the hospital if it is done without their permission. but it's just so common in america that very few people say no. it reminds me of a joke.

A little girl is watching her mom make roast beef for dinner and she asks, "Mama, why do you always chop the ends off both sides of the roast beef?" and her mother says, "Well, I do it that way because it's how my mother, your grandmother, always did it." So the girl asks her grandma, "Grandma, why did you always chop the ends off both sides of the roast beef before putting it in the oven?" and her grandmother answers, "Well, I did it that wahy because my mother, your great grandmother, always did it that way." So the little girl asks her great grandma, "Grammy, why did you always chop the ends off both sides of the roast beef before putting it in the oven?" and the great grandmother says, "Because my pot was too small and i had to cut the beef down to fit."

Families in America are accostomed to men being circumcised. Great grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers are circumcised, so why would we deny our son that? It is normal for us, so we'll get it done. I believe that's another sign of conditioning. Not only do we salivate when we see the Golden Arches, but we mutilate our baby boys because everyone else does.

All of my boyfriends that really counted up until my current boyfriend have all been circumsized. He isn't. He said his mom didn't believe in it. There really isn't that big of a difference other than appearance. I mean, sex still feels the same regardless of it being circumsized or not to ME anyway. And as far as hygiene goes... well it doesn't become any big of a deal. Just wash it daily, duh.

Although, he did tell me there is a risk of ripping the foreskin if sex is too rough? I dunno, we haven't had a problem yet, lol. If it rips recurrently, then he kind of has to get it circumsized. He doesn't know the reality, but he has HEARD that guys that get circumsized later in life have a problem getting erections. No idea if that's true or not.
