Yeah, I make 12.71. I'd get a 50 cent raise if I were to get pharmtech certified. I'm just so lazy and don't wanna study and have to recertify every two years.

I make 17.70, but work for a company owned by one woman, with 15 employees, so most of that gets eaten by health insurance/401k/taxes/FSA medical spending account costs. I am lucky as fuck to even have all of that at a mom and pop place, a lot of non corporate veterinarians don't offer benefits at all.
I am also not a certified vet tech. I am a vet tech in all duties but legally am an assistant, because I only have a vet assistant certificate, and about half the credits needed for my RVT degree.
I already make more than most certified techs and have pretty much topped out in my state for pay, unless I went into research or pharmaceuticals. I have 12 years experience, so if i were to go back to school I would be paying 40-50k just to make exactly what I do now. Fuck that.

Yeah, all I have to do is pay for and pass the test to be certified. CVS will reimburse me as long as I pass and I'll get the 50 cents more. It just seems like too much work.
