Kind of close.
From raw opium you have morphine and codeine as the primary opiates. From there, most opiates are derived.
Diacetylmorphine is heroin's real name from which you can see the morphine root, as its a semi-synthetic drug built "from" morphine. Chemically the difference is very small.
Oxycontin aka oxycodone is also semi-synthetic but is derived from codeine, their differences chemically are also very small.
One could say that they, oxycontin and heroin, are cousins.
