Need codecs help - Insanecowposse - 10-09-2009
For a very long time I have been using youtube downloader to steal videos off of youtube and edit them into my own videos but lately I have been getting an error saying the neccesary codecs are missing and to go to this bs site called freecodecs.com which leads you to spam and weak ass downloads that don't help the situation. If anyone has a solution i would appreciate it.

it wil play the videos on other programs but that does me no good. It won't convert the file to wmv so i can edit the damn thing. Same thing keeps popping up and all i get out of these stupid codec packs is different media players.

i used a firefox plugin.. the name of it escapes me now.. fuck
but there are plenty of programs out there that can capture streaming audio and video from the net

Keepvid.com is a good one as well, they also have a firefox plugin, possibly the one you're using. Never had any problesm with that one...

i got this converter called any video converter that larry aka dirtymonkey uses and it works fine now.
