new toolbar - sTr - 09-22-2009
Will be functional soon. It's going to be a badass chat system for the board. It is going to load the buddy list from the freinds or foe lists in your profile, as well as allow you to create individual ims and chat rooms. So, give me a bit to tinker with this, it should be up shortly.

It won't look so bland when !'m done as weel, figure ! Should get it functional first. ! Finally got it to recognize when your logged as and when not, as to keep guests out of the chat rooms, now !'m just having a hard time getting it to pull data from the friends list. Don't fret, all should be settled shortly....

what ! do is ! find something ! want, doesn't matter if it's for phpbb or not. then ! find out if it is, if it is ! do it up, if it isn't ! find the closest alternative and mod it myself. this toolbar for instance is called comet chat, it was made for social network sites like facebook, myspace, etc. then ! saw they came out with a version for vbulletin, from there ! changed it over to read from phpbb databases instead of the vb ones. for the most part ! just google it up and sift through links. ! searched for a few days, compiled a bunch of good choices as far as tool bars, then this was the best and most customizable. still needs some work, but !'m close, it can pull from the database, but for whatever reason it won't post, !'m almost positive it's powweb's ass nuts sql server and it will probably just start working out of nowhere in a day, it's happened to me so many times that ! fuck with a code for days and it was just that they barely refresh their sql server. speaking of which, ! need a new server.
or skip the bull shit and read the list....

Edit: apparently you can only chat back and forth if you are each others buddy-list, meaning if ! message enigma and she doesn't have me as a friend it won't show up on her end. so ! have two options, leave it and everyone just add who they want to chat with, or set it so it doesn't feed off a friends list and instead shows you the list of who's online in general then chat from there. speak your minds.
