Happy September! - sTr - 09-01-2009

another month down in this great year. seasons are probably changing for some, new festivities are probably popping up already for fall. What is you're favorite part of the upcoming fall season?

Sweaters! And hoodies. And straight up candy corn.

I hate the cold....and September reminds me that the white crap is coming soon.I hate it.....

It's going to be a COLD COLD winter up here.....we've only had like 3-4 days that hit 90.

This.

The only people that really like the cold are fat, insecure people that like to wear a lot of clothes without any visible sweating.

word, cold weather is for suckers. and ! heard around the bend that it sucks to be a sucker.... just sayin'

Re: Happy September! - XxSweetBitchAssxX - 09-01-2009

I hate COLD weather and snow for sure. But fall, fall is like cooler temepratures, decrease in humidity, without the rain and bullshit you get in the spring. The smells are better in my opinion, and you cannot fuck with Thanksgiving, haha

I love cold. Then again cold in Sacramento or the bay area is a relative thing. It don't snow here or anything like that. But I have experienced, and loved REAL fucking cold in the Sierra Nevada mountains. There's this passage in Frankenstein that describes the fiendish joy of a good, cold wind which is burned in my brain:
I am already far north of London; and as I walk in the streets of Petersburgh, I feel a cold northern breeze play upon my cheeks, which braces my nerves, and fills me with delight. Do you understand this feeling? This breeze, which has travelled from the regions towards which I am advancing, gives me a foretaste of those icy climes. Inspirited by this wind of promise, my day dreams become more fervent and vivid...
