ehhhh, i doubt it, pencils are pretty strong if you push them straight, its when you twist it to the side that it would snap

no they're not, bone is stronger than wood, I've even managed to snap a metal pedal on my shin.
I doubt a pencil would be strong enough against a big ball of bone.

unless its a very sharp pencil it isnt going to do much, and to get it into just the right spot.
with you being a butcher I would think you would know how tough it is to get through muscle and tendons.
